Mission details:

• INMARSAT-4 2 is a communications satellite launched for INMARSAT and is intented to support the Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) for the delivery of internet and intranet content, video-on-demand, video-conferencing, fax, e-mail, telephone and LAN access. Satellite initially located over 7°E; during December 9 it was manoeuvred off-station, it is to be operated over 307°E.
